Jenna Fischer is best known for playing Pam Beesly on the acclaimed TV show The Office For her role, she won an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress and two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance in the Ensemble Comedy.
The girl was born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she spent most of her childhood at St. Louis Missouri. Jenna's mother Anne was a performer in dramas at church as a child, and this instilled an interest in theater.
Fischer was a theatre actress in her own country. The role she played was Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway play Reasons to Be Happy. Then she starred in Steve Martin's Meteor Shower - an absurdist comedy starring Greg Germanyn as well as Josh Stamberg - for the Old Globe Theatre's first world premiere.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer have launched Office Ladies, a podcast that airs on Earwolf in the month of October. Her next book, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is an autobiography of her best friend as well as their time at The Office.
