April Lockhart
April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She started piano and guitar lessons in the 7th grade, which ignited her interest. When she was in seventh grade she began to take piano and guitar lessons. It sparked her interest to write songs. At the age of 14, April spent much time writing and honed her musicianship abilities. After a while, she began to go on trips with her dad and write either in NY as well as LA. April included other subjects in her song"Take my Hand. These topics were meant for the friends of hers who struggled with issues such as peer pressure and disabilities, or even teenage suicidal ideas. Lockhart is also gaining a growing popularity as a lifestyle influencer as well as a spokesperson for the popular Clean Beauty company Ilia. It's true that she was born without a left hand, and it makes her unique. It's not the only aspect that makes her unique. Lockhart's Instagram account doesn't ignore the fact that she has a disability. It also doesn't emphasize the issue. What is the message? that we are all a part of a multitude of identities and we're greater than the physical person we are. Lockhart says in a video interview with Lockhart via video "I do not believe that disability will define my character. It's not my intention to be an influencer on disabilities because I've got plenty to offer." My day-today life is not affected by it. I go about my regular day-to-day life and discover my own solutions to issues. Since it's a an integral part of me and something worthy of discussion. Lockhart inspires us to keep moving forward with self-acceptance. She has been through times when she felt insecure about dressing in certain styles that displayed her arms. She now wears whatever she wants. She also posts her photos on social networks. One of the keys to self-love for her is the fact that it's not a destination. This is true for everyone, regardless of their insecurity. The people around you with, who know your personal story and who can look inside your soul are the most important people to remind you of what you're worrying about.
